In respiratory alone, readmission costs increase by up to $38,000 pp, readmitted excess mortality risk increases to 39.4% and ICU throughput increases by 50%.

Until the Ribbon Device, there has been no non-invasive continuous ambulatory monitoring solution for early detection of change in both respiratory volume and rate.

Our solution, the Ribbon device, has the potential to flag early respiratory compromise within hours, eliminate delayed diagnosis, and enable earlier, more cost-efficient intervention for better patient outcomes.

Value Proposition

Ribbon is a chest worn, non-invasive ambulatory Medical device.

Ribbon continuously monitors lung volume, respiratory rate, heart rate, skin temperature and movement, on every breath.

Unlike other monitoring methods, the Ribbon device measures ambulatory lung volumes continuously and easily.

Ribbon provides early warnings of physiological changes in lung volume, that can be used by Doctors to manage patient conditions or predict and prevent exacerbatory events.

There is no widely adopted, non-invasive solution for continuous lung monitoring of respiratory volume outside the ICU, which our KOLs have identified as the key unmet need.

Continuous ‘Respiratory Volume’
